Brock

Brock Nicholson, personal trainer and fitness coach

Brock Nicholson, a former high-level rugby player for the Canadian ‘A’ Team, is the owner of GRND Fitness. Not only did Brock excel at rugby but he also ran track and field, played basketball, hockey and soccer. This sport and exercise professional has over seven years of personal training under his belt including three years as the regional head trainer at a major fitness facility.

Brock specializes in strength training, sport specific and event training, functional movement training, fat loss programs, specific nutrition advice and is most passionate about implementing successful strategies to help his clients achieve their fitness and health goals.

Amanda

Amanda De Jong, personal trainer and fitness coach

Amanda has over 15 years of personal training experience and is a well-known and respected trainer. She is also one of the top spin coaches in the city and can be found teaching at Method Cycling. Amanda, a mother of two, is an avid road cyclist and loves anything sweaty.

Chelsea

Chelsea is an avid and passionate fitness fanatic with over 10 years of personal experience in the health and wellness world. She possesses a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of British Columbia and is professionally certified under BCAK. Through extensive involvement in a variety of fitness realms such as cheerleading, weightlifting, hot yoga and hiking, she has a broad scope on the elements of differing exercise techniques.

Chelsea believes that beyond looking good, fitness is a lifestyle; it’s a holistic way to improve your quality of life by exercising your physical body in conjunction with your mind. If you’re not going to make time for exercise now, you’ll in all likelihood make time for injury and illness later.

Chelsea specializes in dynamic exercise programs that incorporate functional strength training and cardiovascular training for the improvement of muscle strength and tonicity, core strength and cardiovascular function – the true fundamentals to achieve a healthier you.

Being a very energetic and caring individual, she takes pride and finds joy in helping people reach and crush fitness goals, incorporating individualized fitness strategies, increasing confidence levels and providing educational information about health and wellness and/or nutrition.
